Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an employment authorization program in the United States for international students on F-1 student visas. It allows students to gain practical work experience directly related to their field of study as an integral part of their academic program.
Students enrolled in a Graduate Program with integral CPT can obtain CPT authorization from day 1 of the program, often referred to as "Day 1 CPT".
